Key Success Book

Key success book. There are a lot of excellent books that cover this very topic. Napoleon Hill has one of my  Key-Success-Bookfavorite books titled The Law of Success in which he characterizes the attributes in what he thinks it takes to become. successful, and I would have to say that I agree with him. I will cover a few of them.

I can think of a few reasons why a person might have a Purpose for Success; you might like to have lots of Money, get out of Debt, buy a new Car/House, take nice Vacations, help other family members out, Medical Bills, or you might just hate your current Job.   I-Hate-My-Job

What is the Definition of Success?

The Definition of Success According to Webster's Dictionary, which I will let you read for yourself. merriam-webster.com/dictionary/success

The Truth, Success can be defined in many different ways, and it's not all about Money. You can be Successful at being a Mother/Father, in Health/Fitness, Friend/Neighbor, and so many other things.

So don't Define Success in just a Monetary Value. But if you are reading this post I think that it would be a safe bet to say you are thinking about Money. So with Money in mind here is a list of a few Habits of Successful People.

What are some Success Habits?

Here is just a small list of some Success Habits; I am sure that you can add to this list.

  • Get a Good Nights Sleep
  • Get up Early and Plan out your Day.
  • Do the Things First that you Hate the Most.
  • Try to Eat a Good Breakfast.
  • Feed your Mind by Reading Good Books.
  • Don't be Lazy.
  • Don't be afraid to take some Risks.
  • Look for Solutions instead of Focusing on Problems.
  • Time Management
  • Don't Procrastinate

What are some Success Principles?

People who are Successful are usually always Grateful and try to Live in a State of Appreciation with what they have Achieved. They Surround Themselves with other Like Minded People. They have a Clear Vision of what it is they are trying to Accomplish, and they always set Goals for Themselves.

People who are Successful are usually very Focused and Determined in finding a way to get what they want. They Prepare Themselves and just as soon as they have Determined what their Goal is they take Immediate Action towards Achieving that Goal. They are always Life Learners.

Can Failure Lead to Success?

It would probably be safe to say that the Majority of Successful People has Failed more times than the average person, but the difference is they don't look at it as Failures they learn from their mistakes, and they Adjust/Adapt. But they are so Focused and Determined that they will eventually create success; and you can too. What did Thomas Edison say about failure?

There is a Poem on my wall by my computer desk that I have read many times for Inspiration. In fact, every time my boys told me that they couldn't do something I always made them read it out loud. I want to share it with you.

If you think, you are beaten, you are.
If you think you dare not, you don't.
If you like to win, but you think you can't
It is almost certain you won't.
If you think, you'll lose you've lost.
For out of the world we find
Success begins with a fellow's will
It's all in the state of mind.
If you think, you are outclassed, you are.
You've got to think high to rise;
You've got to be sure of yourself before
You can ever win a prize.
Life's battles don't always go
To the stronger or faster man
But sooner or later the man who wins
Is the man who thinks he can.

  1. Your post really resonated with me. I have a tattoo that is like a bracelet on my upper arm, five Chinese symbols: Love, Desire, Beauty, Creativity, Passion. It’s how I try to live my life. And without these things what really matters? You said you can’t be afraid to fail, and I have failed so many times I can’t even remember, but it’s the getting back up, the dusting yourself off and trying again that matters. It’s the doing despite what other people think that matters. I will keep on trying, and keep on picking myself up, because I know that I have a destiny out there, I just have to find it, or maybe it needs to find me. Who knows? But I do know that in my head I’m already a success, the world just has yet to see it too.

    1. Thank you for your comments. I have no doubt that you will become successful because you definitely have the right attitude. So long as you learn from your failures then they aren’t failures at all; they are a learning curve.

  2. Hi there Dale,

Great motivational article. Just what I need for a Monday morning. I don’t know if I am anywhere successful just yet – my online business is still at its baby steps – but I can relate to some of the success habits that you mentioned.

Good sleep and good breakfast are a must for me. Otherwise, you would start your day feeling rather cranky. By nature, I am a problem solver and I can’t stand people who complain about stuff all the time.

    1. Hey Cathy, I am happy that you enjoyed my article. Monday mornings always seem to be the worst; don’t they.

      Thanks Dale

  3. I loved this post and enjoyed learning some new things about what it takes to be successful. I agree in that people nowadays seem to be so set on success being a monetary value, but that you can succeed in so many different ways. Here is a quote that I like: “Every accomplishment starts with the decision to try”. If you don’t try you will never know what you could’ve accomplished or been successful at!

  4. Great Article! I really think #7 being afraid of failure is what holds me back most of the time.

I’m also really guilty of procrastinating when it comes to working towards my goals, but it is something I am working on each day.

Thanks for my daily dose of inspiration and motivation!

    1. Hey Kevin,
Thanks for your comments. I think most people have a fear of failure, but always ask yourself; What is the worst thing that can happen? So you don’t succeed the first or hundredth time so what! Is it a Death sentence? No I don’t think so. As long as you continue to try, you will always learn from the mistakes you made.

Those mistakes will eventually lead to success as long as you continue not to give up. Usually, when one door closes another one opens up, and you find a new opportunity. Sooner or later the right door will open, and Success will be behind it.

  5. Hi Dale,
I am a huge fan of Napoleon Hill and his view on being successful. Think and grow rich is a personal favorite.Any person can be successful at whatever they choose with the right mindset. I also agree that failure can be part of the road to success. If you can learn from it it then it’s not really failure at all.I love this quote by Henry Ford.”Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, this time more intelligently.”
    Thanks for this great article!

    1. Hey Johnny,
It is a pleasure to meet you. It’s always nice to get to know another Napoleon Hill fan. You certainly can’t go wrong with reading his books. I also have a copy of Think and Grow Rich which I’ve read several times throughout the years.

That is a great quote by Henry Ford, and I agree whole heartedly. I am pleased that you liked my post; I also talk a little bit about The Law Of Attraction in some of my other posts as well as Limiting Beliefs and the Writings On Our Walls. You can check them out if you get a chance.

I wish you every success in life Johnny, but I know you will get there because you, my friend; are on the right path.

      Warmest Wishes

      Dale
